João Costa

"I am a Portuguese flutist born and raised in a small city nearby the sea called Figueira da Foz, where I started my musical studies at the age of 5. I moved to Lisbon to study classical flute but I always loved other styles, like latin music, jazz or Portuguese music, like fado. I moved to Rotterdam to study latin jazz music and I am currently studying there, in Codarts. In my music there are a lot of influences from musicians like Hermeto Pascoal or Patrick Bartley and, as I also like to sing on my shows, from some singers, especially Salvador Sobral."

Lua Madeira

" I'm a passionate singer from Portugal. I have been singing in choirs since I was 7 years old: my parents always had the interest on keeping me close to music. After some years of learning cello singing and music theory as a hobby I realised that it was through music that I could express my inner self the best so I decided it was time for me to dedicate entirely to the craft. Because I have always been surrounded by so many and diverse music it was an impactful decision to choose the classical studies - luckily, in contexts like Oniria, I still have the chance to sing and dance all these other styles and traditions that I am in love with "
